 Mönlam Chenmo (Tibetan: the 'Great Prayer' festival) which is the most important Tibetan Buddhist celebration of the year, held annually as part of the New Year festivities. Also this is the first Jonang Monlam chenmo held in the USA.
Monlam Chenmo will be held from 21 – 25 December 2011, in Tashi Choeling Buddhist Center in Charlottesville VA.
Khenpo Ngawang Dorjee, other monks from the India and Mongolia , all of our members and other people devotees to pray for the wellbeing of the world and for all sentient beings to be touched by the wisdom, compassion and power of the buddhas and bodhisattvas
The Tashi Choeling Buddhist Center invites everybody to come and take part in the celebration. Khen Rinpoche Ngawang Dorjee, along with monks arriving from India and Mongolia, will come to make the offering sculptures (torma), create a sand mandala, and lead the prayer ceremonies.
