White Tara Empowerment

White Tara is a female enlightened being whose function is to bestow long life, wisdom, and good fortune. We all need these attainments if we wish to experience happiness within this life, but they are even more essential if we wish to experience the permanent peace of Liberation and Enlightenment. A long life gives us the opportunity to make continued progress on the spiritual path; wisdom opens our eyes to see the real causes of happiness; and good fortune offers all the conditions which we might need to accomplish this goal of happiness.

If we rely upon White Tara with faith, she will also protect us from contagious diseases, the dangers of fire and other disasters. It is said that living beings receive Tara 's blessings as swiftly as the wind moves because she is the manifestation of the wind element of all Buddhas. Through receiving Tara 's empowering blessings we can strengthen our connection with her so that we can receive her special care and protection throughout all our lives.
